this headsets or any Sigtronics system.
Connects between a single headset, push-to-talk (PTT) switch and your mobile radio or cellular phone. Allows two-way radio communication via the Sigtronics' emergency headsets.
Normal radio operation is possible with the standard hand microphone and speaker. Used in high noise applications where radio communication is required, but vehicle intercom is not.
A typical application is at the pump panel or in the driver's position, when only one person is on the vehicle. In cases where more than one position is required, but with only one headset used at a time, additional jacks and push-to-talk (PTT) switches are available.
Other uses are in command vans, heavy equipment vehicles, etc.

Usage Notes | The above MRIM-2 provides interface between a Mobile Radio and Headset. It does not provide intercom capabilities and is solely for one person to use at a pump panel or other single position. Some mobile radios may require an adapter to interface with the Mobile Radio Interface Module. See Mobile Radio Adapters section for information. Order headsets separately to complete the above systems. As the MRIM-2 system includes a PTT switch, any of our standard headsets will work. If a headset mounted switch is preferred, use a headset with a Mic Push-To-Talk Switch (PTT), not a Radio Push-To-Transmit Switch (RPTT). As the MRIM-2 does not have intercom, a PTT headset will transmit over the radio. |

Cellular Telephones | The MRIM-2 is also used for cellular telephone interface. The cellular phone must be hands free capable and have an external speaker / microphone connection. To switch between the MRIM-2 and an intercom system, use toggle switch kit P/N 800185. |
With our MRIM-2 unit and a user furnished Bluetooth car-kit appropriate for your cell phone, you will have the ability to sync a hands-free Bluetooth cellular phone to your Sigtronics intercom system at any time.
This will allow cell phone communication via the Sigtronics emergency headsets.
You will be able to change or update your cell phone without rewiring the system as you would with a hard wired cell phone installation.
Cell phone access may be configured for one person or for all the headset positions in the vehicle. Use toggle switch kit P/N 800185 for each position.
Four wires are all that is necessary to connect a car-kit to our MRIM-2 unit. Then just add the power and ground connections to the Bluetooth car-kit and the system is ready to be synced to your cell phone.
Normal radio operation is possible with the standard hand microphone and speaker. You will have all the benefits of our headset / intercom system (hearing protection, mobile radio interface, vox intercom) with the convenience of adding a Bluetooth cellular phone whenever required.
